După luni de incertitudine în care nimeni nu spunea ceva sigur, iată că oficialii postului Fox au anunţat reînnoirea serialului icon al anilor ’90 cu mult aşteptatul sezon 11. Comanda plasată este de 10 episoade, producţia urmând să înceapă în această vară, difuzarea fiind programată în sezonul 2017/18.
The X-Files a fost produs şi difuzat de Fox în perioada 1993-2002, timp de 9 sezoane. Serialul a revenit pentru 6 episoade eveniment pe 24 ianuarie 2016.
